Application of Participatory Learning Improving the Learning Outcomes of Science Material Heat Conductors and Insulators in Min 6 East Aceh Students

This study aims to determine student learning outcomes by using the application of participatory learning in the form of discussions of student learning completion and knowing student involvement in learning to the participatory learning strategies applied. This research was carried out at MIN 6 East Aceh in the first semester of T.P 2014/2015 with the Action Research method. Analysis in the form of qualitative data (observation of activities) is analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed with descriptive techniques of percentative and qualitative. The subjects of this study were Class VI students totaling 26 people. The results of the study were obtained: (1) The results of the pre-test of students who achieved learning completion (2) student learning outcomes in the test aspect of student learning outcomes showed good student learning completion. Students who achieved complete learning in the first cycle with a percentage of 69.22% (17 students) and experienced an increase in cycle II with a percentage of 96.15% (25 students). (3) student activities in participatory learning activities in the form of discussions show that students have been able to carry out discussion activities with the percentage of student activities from cycle I to cycle II tends to increase. Thus, it can be concluded that participatory learning is to improve student learning outcomes in Class V I semester I MIN 6 East Aceh T.P 2013/2014.
